For those of you interested in reading some background material on the subprime mortgage crisis, the shocks to the financial markets, etc. we have attached two pdfs that we thought would be helpful. One is a series of articles that appeared in the Financial Times a few weeks ago, and the second is an IMF Working Paper that explains the rapid transmission of the US subprime mortgage crisis to other financial markets in the United States and abroad.
