Will M&As Skate Through the DOJ Now?

While history might indicate that antitrust hurdles may higher under a Democratic president, this is unlikely to be the case in Barack Obama’s presidency, Andrew Ross Sorkin argues in his latest DealBook column, quoting David Boies, the superlawyer and Democrat whom the government asked to take on Microsoft.

The Sorkin/Boies take:  politicians literally “won’t be able to afford to worry about anticompetitive practices as much as they will need to worry about saving jobs” — which might not be so good for document review work…
