The Heritage Foundation has teamed with the Sunlight Foundation and Center for Responsive Politics to present its Computer-Assisted Research and Reporting boot camps for journalists and bloggers seeking to enhance their reporting and research skills.

The 2008 CARR boot camps mark the ninth year for the events that have graduated more than 300 editors, reporters, producers, researchers and graphics artists. The boot camps are held throughout the year at the National Press Club’s Eric Friedheim Library in Washington, D.C.  Special workshops can also be arranged.

Those interested in attending a CARR boot camp are encouraged to enroll ASAP as the events tend to fill up rather quickly. For more information, contact Maggie Pitts at The Heritage Foundation at (202) 546-4400 or course instructor Mark Tapscott at (202) 459-4968 or mark.tapscott@gmail.com.
