Our client develops the world’s most advanced eDiscovery and electronic investigation software. The Business Development Manager will have in depth knowledge of email archiving/data mining etc and be proactive and energetic, generating and managing accounts for this product. 

Our client develops the world’s most advanced eDiscovery and electronic investigation software. Their customers include law firms, litigation support service providers, enterprise, advisory firms, government departments, police and anti-corruption bodies, as well as regulatory and security agencies. 

Role and Responsibilities 

The Business Development Manager – Forensics / eDiscovery, will have in depth knowledge of email archiving / data mining etc and be proactive and energetic, generating and managing accounts for this world leading forensics software product.  This will involve working independently whilst managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously – including creating and developing leads and maintaining relationships with decision-makers and senior executives as well as client organisations.   

This is a senior role and will involve working across Europe, with particular focus on Germany – the role itself will be based in Frankfurt.  The Manager will work proactively with all areas of the business and will require deep experience in relationship and knowledge based sales and business consultancy, with particular experience of email archiving / data mining etc.  

 Requirements, Qualifications and Characteristics 

  • Educated to degree level
  • 5 years minimum experience in infrastructure software sales, with particular experience of email archiving/data mining etc
  • Preferably from a technical background or with a good level of technical knowledge
  • Experienced in identifying and clarifying client’s needs in a clear and logical manner in order to complete sale, manage delivery and relationship thereafter
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of ediscovery
  • Highly skilled in creating and maintaining relationships with clients and other external parties; Able to put the client first and manage expectations
  • Able to create and manage sales presentations and proposals and be an effective communicator
  • Organised and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Able to cope with pressurised situations – whilst managing the expectations of those around them
  • Demonstrates a high degree of self-reliance – comfortable with working with a ‘virtual office’ set up
  • Able to demonstrate current relevant contacts and relationships
  • Fluent in German
